30th August 2014, 2:30 p.m to 4:45 p.m
Saint Andrews on the Terrace, 30 The Terrace, Wellington
We would like to invite you to attend a public meeting regarding the NZ Superannuation Fund’s investments.
DIVEST FOR PEACE!
Over $27 million of our tax money is invested in companies which profit from the attacks on Gaza, and from brutal human rights abuses in the West Bank.
Don Carson, a New Zealand journalist and expert in Middle East affairs, will help us understand the human rights situation, especially in the West Bank. Don will also describe the impact of companies which profit from the wall, from checkpoints, from white phosphorous, and militarised bulldozers, among others.
Kat Goodman, a grassroots campaign organiser, will introduce practical methods we can help.
Divestment from the West Bank really can put pressure on Israel to make peace in Gaza. So, we call on Superfund, to DIVEST for PEACE!
All welcome. For further information, welcome to contact Kat by email:
